Terms of Service

Terra Tessera is operated by Kim, [ABN], Melbourne, Australia. By ordering, you agree to these terms.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. I accept it when I confirm your order by email. If I can't make a piece, the location won't work, or something is genuinely beyond what I can produce, I'll tell you and refund you in full.

Prices

All prices are in Australian dollars. Postage is calculated at checkout. International customs and duties are extra and are your responsibility.

How ready-to-print orders work

Ready-to-print pieces are existing designs, photographed as they actually come out. The listing photographs are the reference, there is no mock-up or render stage, and your piece goes into production once you order.

Engraving is printed exactly as you enter it. Please check spelling, coordinates and dates carefully before ordering. A typo you've entered is not a fault and can't be refunded once engraved.

How custom orders work

1. You place your order with your place, size, format, colours and engraving.
2. I build a mock-up and send it to you.
3. You get up to three rounds of changes at no charge.
4. I send a final render of the model and the engraved base.
5. Printing starts only once you confirm that render.

Changes requested beyond the third round, or after you've approved the final render, may incur an additional charge. I'll always quote it before doing the work.

What you send me

By sending route files, coordinates, photos or text, you confirm you have the right to use them and you give me permission to use them for the sole purpose of making your piece. Please don't send anything you don't have the right to share.

I won't produce engraving text that is unlawful, offensive, or infringes someone else's rights, and I'll refund you rather than print it.

Terrain accuracy

Pieces are made from publicly available elevation data and are artistic representations of a landscape. Terrain is vertically exaggerated so it reads at a small scale, and fine detail is simplified.

They are not navigational tools, survey instruments, or accurate to scale, and must not be relied on for navigation or safety.

Handmade variation

Each piece is printed and finished by hand. Slight variation in colour, layer texture and finish between pieces is normal and is not a fault. Colours may look different on your screen than in the material.

Care

Keep your piece out of direct sunlight and away from heat. PLA softens at high temperatures, a hot car or a summer windowsill will damage it. Dust with a soft dry brush. Don't wash or submerge it.

What you're buying

Terra Tessera sells finished physical pieces only — the printed model and its base.

I do not sell, licence, share or supply digital files of any kind. That includes STL, 3MF, OBJ, STEP and slicer project files, print profiles, and the elevation or terrain data behind a piece. This applies to custom orders as much as to ready-to-print ones, including where you supplied the route data yourself — the file I build from it stays with me.

Files aren't available for purchase at any price, and I'm not able to make an exception.

Intellectual property

The Terra Tessera name, logo, designs, 3D model files, photography and website content are mine and may not be copied, reproduced or resold without written permission.

Buying a piece gives you the physical object, and nothing more. It does not give you rights in the design, the digital files, or the right to reproduce, scan, copy, mould or otherwise replicate a piece — whether for yourself, for resale, or to have printed elsewhere.

Liability

Nothing here excludes the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Where liability can lawfully be limited, my liability is limited to replacing the piece or refunding what you paid.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
